Why Mathematics

“I could write pages and pages on this topic, but I think it can be boiled down to this: I enjoyed math a great deal through all of my schooling, and just recently realized that I love teaching. Therefore, it was an obvious choice for me to combine the two!”

Professional Experience

Connor taught in a summer program called the Breakthrough Collaborative in Denver, Colorado, during the summer of 2015. The Breakthrough Collaborative supports high-achieving, low-income students from all across the city through middle school and high school. The program assists students with their college decisions and has a focus on teacher training.

In the fall of 2015, Connor co-taught an undergraduate-level religion class at Nebraska Wesleyan University. He also tutored throughout his college experience privately and for Nebraska Wesleyan University’s math and physics departments.

Connor will begin teaching at Denver School of Science and Technology–Stapleton Campus during the 2018–2019 school year.

Volunteer Experience

Connor volunteered with a program called “Snow Angels,” in which he shoveled driveways for people who were not physically capable.


Connor enjoys running, reading books, and watching movies.
