Physics
Why Physics
“Physics underpins our modern civilization, provides insights into other scientific disciplines, and seeks to answer the fundamental questions about the universe and our place within it.”
Professional Experience
As an undergraduate, Adam worked at the Center for Research on Evaluation, Standards, and Student Testing at the University of California, Los Angeles. Working with senior researchers, he was exposed to research on evaluation and assessment. Meanwhile, his involvement with the outreach program CityLab@UCLA introduced him to the power of immersive educational experiences. He returned home to Riverside, California, to pursue graduate studies and fulfill his desire to positively impact his home community. For several years, he taught AP and IB Physics in the Riverside Unified School District, while conducting research in physics education and assessment at California State University, Fullerton. While in Riverside, he founded and coached a FIRST Robotics Competition program that involved over a dozen local business and engineering mentors.
Adam currently works in the Learning & Research Department of an educational technology company. He maintains a connection with Knowles as a Kaleidoscope Peer Advisor.
Hobbies
Adam enjoys traveling, kayaking, reading, and exploring the city with his dog, Katsu.
