I hope students take away problem solving skills and perseverance from my classroom. Moreover, I want my students to become advocates for themselves and active participants in their own education.”

Anthony’s Story

Teaching Discipline

Mathematics

Why Math

“Math has always been my favorite subject, but, I have seen many people accept being bad at math and having an aversion to it. As a teacher, I think it is important to give students opportunities to succeed and find confidence in their mathematics abilities.”

Professional Experience

Anthony spent summer 2016 teaching mathematics through a summer enrichment camp, Upward Bound Math Science. He helped students in the program complete coursework to gain an edge on many of the concepts they would tackle when they returned to school.

Volunteer Experience

Anthony served as vice president for the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society during his undergraduate studies.

Hobbies

Anthony enjoys going for walks, reading, and hosting movie marathons with friends
