Cameron’s Story

Teaching Discipline

Biology

Why Biology

“I love the connections within biology to us as humans. Biology is a unique discipline of science where almost every unit can be connected back to who we are.”

Professional Experience

For her senior internship during her undergraduate studies, Cameron taught in a biology and anatomy classroom at Mason High School. Additionally, she spent a summer teaching kindergarten at Columbia Elementary School, and extended that to all subjects, teaching virtually at the same school, for about six months. Cameron completed her teaching internship this past year at Holt High School, teaching Biology, AP Biology, and Botany.

Cameron will begin her first year of teaching biology at Holt High School in Holt, Michigan, during the 2023–2024 school year.

Hobbies

Cameron enjoys traveling, and has plans to visit Paris, France; the Amalfi Coast in Italy; and Barcelona, Spain in summer 2023 with her husband/travel partner. She volunteers at her local church monthly, and traveled to South Africa as a volunteer on a mission trip.
