Professional Experience
Cassie conducted research on water quality at the University of California, Riverside (UCR) as a student research intern. She also researched developmental genetics in C. elegans at UCR through the Hispanic-Serving Institutions – Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics program. Cassie began teaching at John W. North High School during the 2016–2017 school year.
Volunteer Experience
Cassie facilitated demonstrations for seventh and eighth grade girls at two United Way Girls Excelling in Math with Success conferences. Cassie also volunteered as head coach for the Science Olympiad team at her school and Inspire Her Mind, a women in STEM group.
Hobbies
Cassie enjoys gardening and playing Dungeons and Dragons.
