I wanted to bring to young people the joy of mathematics, and help them see how it leads to the flourishing of human beings.”

John’s Story

Teaching Discipline

Mathematics

Why Mathematics

“I was good at math in school but wasn’t particularly interested beyond school math. In college, I was taken by curiosity in my mathematics courses. I kept being exposed to fascinating things and my interest kept growing. I originally intended to pursue math research, but realized in graduate school that I enjoyed math more as a learner and teacher than a professional researcher.”

He tutors high school, college, and graduate students in advanced math and test preparation, which he has been doing for over 10 years.
