I think a teacher’s role is to provide a pathway for students to successful citizens, if they choose to follow. A teacher also should have a role and voice in shaping what it means to be a successful citizen.”

As a graduate student, Michael taught trigonometry, calculus and math to elementary teachers. In the fall of 2015, he began teaching calculus and pre-calculus at STEM High School.
Michael enjoys rock climbing, basketball, running, reading and spending time with his three daughters.
