In my classroom, I want to facilitate learning and the skills that lead to learning. Teachers give more power to students by showing them they have control over their own education.”
Taylor’s Story
Teaching Discipline
Biology
Why Biology
“I love how biology helps explain the complex relationships between living things, and how life as we know it came to be. Because of my care for climate change, I wanted to know how these changes would impact living things.”
Professional Experience
While studying to become a teacher, Taylor worked in pediatric therapy providing direct therapy services to children on the Autism Spectrum.
Taylor will begin her first year of teaching at Everett High School during the 2022–2023 school year.
Hobbies
Taylor enjoys video games and started an anime club at her school. She is passionate about giving her students a space to embrace their “nerdy” side and providing a safe haven for LQBTQ+ and Autistic students.
