From Blab to Fab! How to Leverage Engineering Design for Increased Student Engagement in Science Labs
In this course, teachers will learn how their existing science labs can take center stage in engineering design challenges. Teachers will engage in an online design activity to construct a transferable understanding of the engineering design process and orient themselves to the Knowles Problem Definition Tool. They will map science practices and common classroom activities onto the process they create and reflect on how to use their existing resources and skills to facilitate student-centered engineering design integration. Two sessions of this course are being held.
